Om Sathguru Sri Seshadri Swamigal Thiruvadikkae

When God comes taking a human form, it is very difficult to see Him as the Lord! One sees that body, then one’s own body, and one cannot but relate the two and put that body at the same level as oneself.

But if the Lord came in all His majesty, people would be afraid and would not have any opportunity to know and love the Lord. For example, people worship an image of a snake in a temple, hoping that the worship will bring a child.

But if the snake becomes alive and wriggled across the floor towards them, they would take to their heels. People could not stand the Lord in Super-human form. It is only when the Lord comes in human body that people are able to approach Him and learn to love Him and know Him even a little bit. But one should not make the mistake of thinking that is all there is to the Lord.

For instance, the airplane flying high in the sky descends to the airport. But one should not make the mistake of thinking that the plane is a ground machine because they see it on the ground. Once it has taken on its load of passengers, it again zooms up high into the sky. In a similar fashion, although the Lord has made a landing here on earth so to speak, He is not limited by His human form.

Om Sathguru Shri Seshadri Swamigal Thiruvadikkae

When the Guru in his infinite love rushes to help the devotee, (the helpless human being) the devotee in his turn must trust the Guru completely. He must have the ‘Shraddha’ or faith (Viswas) and abandon himself to the Guru. To put it simply, he must catch hold of the rope if he wants to save himself. How true even at the physical level!

What is Faith?

FAITH, “is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen.”

-The Old Testament.

When we serve in a Gurukula, we are able to realize this truth.

That is why, faith is called, the substance of things for and evidence of things not seen; and therefore it is hailed as the greatest miracle.

The Guru is to the Chela (disciple), the manifestation of God Himself. The devotion to the Guru is for him the best help beyond all external and murthi (idol) worship, in his pilgrimage towards Brahman in the transcendence of his non-manifestation.

Om Sathguru Sri Seshadri Swamigal Thiruvadikkae

In the state of Perfect Masters there is: “Conscious Active Inaction.”

The state of a Perfect Master may be compared with a child wide awake but inside the cradle that is continuously rocked by mankind. It is “Conscious Active Inaction.” Inaction is being inside the cradle, and Active Inaction is the rocking of the cradle by others.

God is Conscious Inaction, indeed! And the tranquility of this “Conscious Inaction” is so very profound that it gives God the attributes of Infinite Power, Infinite Knowledge and Infinite Bliss.

Man becomes God, and is recognized as a Perfect Master, SathGuru. To worship this MAN is to worship God.

When God manifests on earth in the form of a man and reveals His Divinity to mankind. He is recognized as the Avathar – the Messiah – the Prophet. Thus God becomes Man!

Om Sathguru Sri Seshadri Swamigal Thiruvadikkae

A Sathpurusha is essentially the Parameshwara, and is capable of anything. The devotee also possesses the state of Parameshwara. If the devotee strives sincerely in his pursuit of God, the Sathpurusha will do whatever it takes to get you there.

If you desire to have that Godhead, you have to serve the One who has already reached that state. Worship God, and God will help you. And thus you will raise yourself to a state even higher to that of Parameshwara.
